DAVE Lane has become the first angler in history to catch four genuine
DIFFERENT English carp weighing over 50lb. This follows his captures of Two
Tone from Conningbrook, the late Mary from Wraysbury and The Eye from
Sonning.

He achieved this incredible feat on 24th September, when he banked a mirror
known as the ‘Fat Lady’ from a club/syndicate water just outside the
Cambridgeshire town of St Ives.
Said Dave: “I can’t quite believe it, what a feeling! And the weight of the
fish was a lot higher than I’d expected.
“Terry Hearn was on hand to help me with the fish and take the photos. I’ll
be writing all about the capture in detail exclusively in the December issue
of Total Carp magazine.”
Total Carp editor, Jim Foster, commented: “I’m delighted for Dave. This
represents a truly historic capture. I have always rated Dave as one of the
best UK carp anglers, if not the best, and this capture goes to further
underline the belief I have in him.
“The fact that you can only read about his recent captures in-depth in Total
Carp
magazine gives me a lot of pride. We’ll be including a full, 5-page
feature on how he banked the Fat Lady in the November issue, so look out for
it.”
