Some excellent catches this week,  bream, orfe, ide, rudd, roach, tench green and golden, perch and even carp all giving anglers some good sport with wet weather but still so much milder than normal for January, the fish are feeding up as if getting ready for spring.
Plants are also starting to develop and green shoots visable, the water colouring also is so rare for winter as if bottom feeders busy turning over the mud looking for natural baits, normally the water would be clear all 6 ft of it so its so unusual to have a good colour in Jan.
Fish still shoaled up tight as water temperature is low however with longer daylight and spring not far away its good for anglers and pleasure anglers to get good catches maggot and pinkies doing well, but some anglers have even caught on conker IN January?
Spring League is a clear 14 matches starting on 16th March to 15th June with the worst 5 scores can be dropped its £25.00 deposit, names and deposits taken from now 01914100449.
