The Angling Trust Loch Style National Flyfishing Final was held at Grafham Water on the 3rd September 2011.

The day started with Angling Trust Competitions Chairman Clive Collier welcoming 100 competitors to the first Flyfishing National final held under the Angling Trust banner. Clive thanked John Mees of Anglian Water for coordinating the Regional Qualifiers and managing the National Competition.

The winner was Kim Green who caught his 8 fish limit in just two hours fishing off Deepwater Point using Crunchers. Kim’s time bonus of 5.75 lbs was enough to beat Ron Gent (second placed) whose 8 fish although bigger, were caught later in the day.

The average catch on this superb venue was an excellent 4.1 trout per rod for the 100 anglers who competed.

Angling Trust Level 2 coach Denis Symonds caught the biggest fish of the day
The top 28 rods will form the Angling Trust Team England squad who go forward to compete in the two Home Internationals in Ireland and Wales next year.
