A WEEK after falling to Andy Childs at 60lb, the big Bluebell Lakes common carp has been caught again.
This time the lucky angler was Mark Brisley from Peterborough in Cambs, who caught the mighty carp from Kingfisher Lake at a weight of 59lb.
The 40-year-old fished an 18mm Mainline Activ-Maple-8 frozen ready made boilie at the Northamptonshire water.
The rig incorporated a barbless line-aligned size 6 Incizor hook, a short 15lb Stealth Skin hook length and a free running 2.5oz Korda lead fished over a gravel patch about 30 metres out. It was beaten on 15lb X-line.
The full story of Andy’s catch is in this month’s Midland Angler.
