Chris fished feeder with pellets and groundbait to the matginal reeds for carp into double figures
3 N Wood, Hallcroft; Peg 36; 59-12-0
Nigel caught carp late on in the match fishing maggots over marukyu groundbait

The fish started spawning in the morning before this match and any big weights were disregarded. Rob fished shallow with caster for 6 carp and a few silvers
2 M Cordall, Retford; Peg 68; 54-12-0
Mak caught majority of his fish late on into the margins. He fished corn and meat over sonubait groundbait for carp to 8lb
3 D Oldham, Maltby; peg 52 ; 53-4-0
Daz fished long pole with meat both shallow mand on the deck for carp to 9lb
4 S Robbins, Hallcroft, 52-12-0 5 A Beresford, Map Leegem, 50-12-0

The warm weather induced both skimmers and carp into spawning and weights were not as consistent as of late.
Geoff Hiley drew end peg 109 and caught carp in the margins fishing corn and worm over groundbait. Geoff caught 18 carp to 9l
2 D Farr, Hallcroft, Peg Outer 23; 78-12-0
Dave fished shallow with luncheon meat both waggler and pole for carp to 12lb
3 C Line, Retford, Peg Outer 28; 69-12-0
Chris also fished shallow but with mggots for 10 carp to 9lb

Continued spawning on moat resulted in inconsistent fishing again on moat pool with wind dominating the good catches. Jon Arthur made the most of his end peg catching carp to double figures fishing into the margins with worm over groundbait
2 R Austin, Halkon Hunt, Peg Outer 6; 100-10-0
Rob Austin drew the other end peg and fished shallow with meat and later into the margins for carp to 11lb
3 A Oldham, Maltby, Peg Outer 83; 57-12-0
Andy Oldham fished corn and maggots on short pole and into the margins for 7 carp

Saturday Maver Match This Qualifier
Moat, Bridge, Canal Pools (74 Pegs)
1 S Barraclough, Frenzee, Bait-Tech, Peg Outer 110; 239-12-0
The overall weights don’t reflect how hard in places the fishing was after the week of spawning at the complex. However, those drawn at windward ends had impressive weights. As was the previous two days end peg in the 100’s won the match. This time Steve Barraclough fished meat shallow at 14m for 29 carp and a whopping 239lb.

Jon finished second place from canal pool 16. Jon fished worm and caster to the far bank to net nearly 100 carp upto 3lb
3 A Christie, Hallcroft, Peg Canal 20; 121-12-0
Andy also did well of Canal pool also breaking the ton with 100lb. He used meat and pellet to good effect for carp to 2lb
4 R Hull, Garbolino, 118-4-0 5 M Brownell, Hallcroft, 108-12-0

1 D Oldham, Maltby, Peg outer 113; 132-0-0
Daz Oldham made the most of a good draw with a winning ton plus net of carp. He fished luncheon meat on the pole at 13m catching mainly shallow
2 D Whiting, Buttonhole AC, Peg island 58; 84-8-0
Dave Whiting finished second with a nice net of carp and bream, he also caught on meat shallow at 13m
3 S Twigg, Map Leegem, Peg island 73; 80-9-0
Steve Twigg caught from the margins and also shallow using pellet and corn for third spot.
4 B Sullivan, Maltby, 74-2-0; 5 S Quibbel, Hallcroft, 64-8-0; 6 C Greenside, Woodseats, 56-9-0
