With the big carp still having a feed there were some reasonable catches for this well attended midweek vets open.
Dave Downes opted for pellet cone with hair rigged corn and meat for 8 carp, the biggest weighing 13lb

Consistent angler Roger Holmes was second also from bridge pool. Roger fished 6mm pellet over 4mm feed pellet for carp to 7lb
3 T Furby, Notts AA, Peg Croft 24; 55-12-0
Trevor Furby was third and best weight off Croft pool with 55lb. Trevor fished paste for carp and caster for tench and skimmers

Gary Brooks alternated pole with maggot and pellet and pellet cone with corn for carp well into double figures

Andy Lakey also used tip tactics to good effect for 41lb and second place. Andy used pellet, meat and corn on the hook.

Graham caught majority of his carp short on maggot over groundbait

Daz Oldham edged today’s match by just under a pound, he fished the pole at 12m using expanded pellet over micro feed pellets to not carp up to 8lbs.
2nd S Clark, Mansfield Senses, 83-6-0; peg isl 61.
Steve Clark just missed out today, as a lost fish cost him both the match and the bonus £1000 link peg. Steve caught using punched meat over pellet on the pole.
3rd B Holmes, Matrix Fox Trentmen, 52-14-0; peg out 52.
Ben took third place with a mixed net of carp and skimmers taken on expanded pellet at 11m.
4th A Sellars, Backside Tackle, 51-3-0.
5th A Payling, Peg One, 48-8-0.
