This year’s three-day Evesham Festival on the Warwickshire Avon carries a prize fund of £27,750 and places for the qualifying matches, which get underway in June, are going fast!

Bookings are now being taken for this year’s Evesham Festival qualifying matches on the Warwickshire Avon, which kick off on the opening weekend of the fishing season with a Shakespeare Championship qualifier on Saturday, June 19th, and an Abu Garcia Wychavon Championship qualifier on Sunday, June 20th.
There are nine Shakespeare and eight Abu Garcia Wychavon qualifiers and all the matches are 70-peg events, at Hampton Ferry and Evesham Town Water. The finals run from Saturday, August 28th to Monday, August 30th.
This year’s festival will see the use of bloodworm and joker trialled for all three final days and in four matches on two of the qualifying weekends.
Anglers can fish as many qualifiers as they like, even if they have qualified or been invited to the Festival weekend, but to guarantee tickets it is advisable to book early by contacting co-organiser Diana Raphael on 01386 442458.
