The latest Angling Trust & Canal & River Trust Stillwater Championship qualifier was held at Blythe Waters on Wednesday 10th September 2014. 30 competitors of the 35 that were booked in turned up on the day. The weather was dry, bright and sunny, with little wind. After the previous round at Blythe the fishing would take some beating, although some of the more noted pegs did not produce as expected and the weights were generally high with everyone catching on the day.

The winner fishing peg 16 on Bridge pool was Stephen Openshaw with a total of 70.520 kg. Stephen caught a total of 28 carp, opting to fish the method feeder over to the island for the first hour and a half then concentrating the majority of the match down the margins.

Second place went to Richard Bedder. Richard fished on peg 26 on Willow lake where he also caught carp shallow and in the margins for a total of 50.540 kg.

Third place went to Sean Huggins fishing peg 25 on Bridge pool. Sean just missed out on qualifying on the last round by 600g, but this time qualified with 43.600 kg.
