Tackle retail giant Fishing Republic has opened two fantastic new stores.

The brand new Scunthorpe store covers 4,000 sq feet while the Sunderland shop is bigger still, at 4500 sq feet.

“If you include Barnsley’s 10,000sq ft and Manchester’s 4000sq ft then Hull’s 3000 it makes us England’s largest fishing chain,” said Fishing Republic’s Kirsty Smith, known as just Kirst to Total-Fishing.com regulars.

“We cater to all disciplines and we do our best to give the customer exactly what they want. I am promoting a relaxed supermarket feel to all our shops safe in the knowledge that I have experienced staff on hand offering help and advice if needed. It is a real Aladdin’s cave for all anglers.”

If a particular branch doesn’t have a certain item in stock, chances are Fishing Republic have it at another one of their stores and can normally get it for the customer within a few days.

“We still offer our excellent price match policy that we will beat or match any like for like quote providing that item is in stock,” added Kirst.

“We encourage customers to register online with us as they will be given exclusive fishing republic offers and give a way’s including our famous VAT free days. We also have a club discount scheme; ask at your local branch for details.
