    REPORT

MOLANDS Fished well at the start of the week in the milder temperatures but as the weather turned colder it got a lot more difficult over the weekend. F1’s were the main target and weights to 40lb were best with maggot feeder or pole with maggot or pellet fished long the best approach. The most consistent pegs have been from 12 – 25 and around Scarecrow Point on 43 – 48.

GEARYS The milder weather at the start of the week saw more carp willing to feed and pleasure anglers had up to ten fish with most caught in the 8 – 12lb bracket. Bomb with pellet, popped up boilies or bread has the best approach. The silvers are still having a go with the high bank the best area and catches of up to 40lb of big skimmers were caught on pole and maggot/pellet or a cage feeder with ground bait.

LITTLE GEARYS Although match weights to 60lb have been caught this week, Little Gearys is still a little out of sorts to how it normally fishes at this time of year. Pole fished maggot has been the top tactic with a maggot feeder also accounting for a few fish. Pegs 7 – 15 and 23 – 29 have been best.

GRATUITIES Carp are coming to the waggler or pole with bread or pellet the best bait for fish in the 2 – 6lb range and nets to 40lb were caught this week. The silver sport has been good with skimmers and roach being caught on caster or maggot.

ANNIVERSARIES F1’s are still showing on most areas with ide and the odd tench and bream being caught. Pole fished pellet, maggot or pinkies the best approach. The top end has been the most consistent with 1 – 8 and 21 – 23 the pick of the pegs.

WILLOW Fished well this week with mainly F1’s providing the best sport but a few carp to nearly double figures were also caught. Pole and pellet or maggot has worked best but a small pellet feeder fished tight up to the island is also producing some action.
