Tackle Trade World can report that the agreed deal for Marukyu Europe Ltd to purchase Solar Tackle has has been called off.
Contrary to a press release circulated earlier this month, Solar Tackle has NOT agreed to a buyout by Marukyu Europe Ltd. The UK-based brand will continue to run and trade independently, as it has done successfully over the past 27 years.
The highly respected tackle and bait manufacturer had all but agreed a partnership with Marukyu Europe Ltd in the past weeks, but it has opted not to finalise the agreement and to resume business as usual.
The upshot is that Solar Tackle will continue to function, as it always has, under owner and founder Martin Locke. The company says it has “big plans for its state-of-the-art, bespoke bait factory in the pipeline and work under way on new, ground-breaking products to follow on from its hugely popular titanium indicators, launched earlier this year and that the future’s bright for Solar Tackle and all of its customers.”
