The River Thames has continued its fantastic run of big chub with a 7lb 5oz lump to Londoner Ted Bryan.
The 45-year-old took the fish, plus others of 4lb 14oz and 5lb 6oz, from the river below Oxford on boilies fished in conjunction with a PVA bag of crushed boilies. He used a 3oz semi fixed rig to hold bottom and he also lost another specimen at the net.
The fish caps a long line of 6lb plus fish from the river, with most coming from the Medley area.
It’s thought the chub are growing fast on a natural diet of crayfish.
