The NFA is pleased to announce that you can now join your Governing Body online at www.nfadirect.com.

The NFA has spent the last few months developing the facility following strong demand from anglers. Using technology, it is now easier than ever to support angling and we would urge anyone who wants to contribute to the future of the sport to log on and join up.
Through membership of your governing body, you can help us deliver:

One Voice for Angling
The NFA represents anglers at a local, regional, national and international level. We liaise regularly with the Environment Agency, British Waterways, Defra and Sport England to ensure that angling’s voice is heard.

Advice to every angler
The NFA represents and supports every angler who takes part in the sport. We will answer every question and provide advice on any issue which you as an angler may have. Have a question? Call us on 0115 981 3535, option 7.

Qualified and Safe Coaching
Coaching is at the very heart of the development of angling, from the first time you pick up a rod at your local school or club to the World Championship squads competing for medals at the highest level. By recruiting and training more coaches we can introduce many more people into angling.

NFA Learning
The NFA has developed a nationally recognised qualification in angling, which can improve both young peoples educational and sporting prowess. ‘The Introduction to Angling & the Environment’ course facilitates learning on how to appreciate and respect the environment as well as introduce new participants into the sport.

Gold medals for our England Teams
England has constantly been at the top of international match fishing and they would not be able to do this without the support of the NFA and its members. Winning medals is not just about the senior teams but developing a sustainable infrastructure to make sure the elite talent this country has to offer has the opportunity to compete at the very highest level.
