Pole Fishing editor pursues new career with international tackle giant.

After nearly eight years with David Hall Publishing, Jon Arthur has stepped down as group editor of Match Fishing and Pole Fishing magazine to start a new role with Drennan International.
On his new job, Jon commented: “I have loved my time working on both magazines and have some great friends at DHP, but I simply could not turn down this exciting opportunity. I have always been a massive fan of Drennan products and I know that there are some amazing developments in the pipelines. The company’s portfolio of sponsored anglers is also impressive and I’m really looking forward to working with them all. Drennan is having a massive push on the match side of things so I’m proud to be part of it!”

Company founder and owner, Peter Drennan commented: “We’re so pleased that Jon will be joining us and strengthening our in-house team on multimedia and product development. Jon’s very considerable angling expertise and long experience at DHP will stand him in good stead working both with individual anglers and the teams we sponsor.
“I’m sure he will also enjoy the opportunity to be involved in product development and prototype testing. That will be a new dimension for him and in many ways it’s the best part of our manufacturing business! Jon already has a lot of friends here in the Oxford offices and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”

Jon is currently working on his last issue of Pole Fishing and starts at the Oxfordshire company in early March. DHP’s online news editor, Tom Scholey, will be taking over as acting editor of the magazine with Matt Godfrey as editorial assistant. Alex Bones will be group editor of both titles.
