TUNNEL Barn Farm at Shrewley plays host to a special Tek-Neek Classic on Wednesday August 27th. The 100-peg event will cover the whole of the Trabucco-backed complex and see the winner walk away with a Tek-Neek or Trabucco pole and £350 cash, with nine more cash prizes up for grabs. Entry is £20 all-in and the tickets are expected to sell out quickly. THE big names are signing up for this year’s Evesham Angling Festival with Steve Gardener, Stu Conroy, Denis White and Mark Addy already booked in and Bob Nudd a ‘near certainty’ to attend the big August bank holiday event. Evesham and District AA are organising two more midweek qualifiers on the Ferry length of the Warwickshire Avon on August 6th and 13th, and places are expected to go fast. ENTRIES are being invited for the Shrewsbury River Masters, to be held on three different sections of the River Severn on October. The event is being supported by Colmic and organised by the Shrewsbury Angling Management Committee, and will be held over October 21-23rd on their sections at Emstrey, Quarry and on the County Ground. The opens at Shewsbury kick off on October 3rd and there’s a two-day match on January 10/11th and a Pairs match on March 7th, along with several more opens in November and December.
