Tickets for Fish O Mania XXIV will go on sale from 30th January 2017 using a new on line booking system, making the allocation of places quicker, easier and significantly more efficient.

The new system will also ensure that successful applicants can get a maximum of two tickets for the tournament. The AT have invested heavily in improving the booking system which allows anglers to book, pay and receive their tickets instantaneously.

Tickets will be released in two rounds, round 1 will be open from 10.30 am on 30th January until midnight on Thursday 9th February and anglers will be able to book a maximum of 2 tickets. Round 2 will open at 10.30 am on Tuesday 14th February and remain open until the final qualifying round in June, there will be no restriction on the number of tickets anglers will be able to book.

Further changes will see the removal of the reserve lists. Cancellations will now be re-listed in the online system and sold on a first come first served basis. A ticket news subscription option is available for anglers seeking cancelled places.

Ben Thompson, Senior Competitions Manager for Angling Trust said “The historical ticketing system was a lottery and it has been a frustration for many that luck of the draw dictated whether people had the opportunity to fish in this brilliant competition. This solution ensures that successful applicants will get the chance to fish in at least one qualifier and those who want to enter multiple events can still do so. It is a fairer, more efficient system to the one we have used in the past and it is very easy to use. Over the course of 2017 we will use this booking system for all of our competitions.”

Guidance on how to book tickets for the competition will be available on the Angling Trust website from Wednesday 18th January.
The website will be live from Monday 23rd January, one week before tickets go on sale. Members are encouraged to visit the site and familiarise themselves with how it works prior to the 30th January. A short step by step video will guide members through the booking process and will be available from Monday 23rd January. The Angling Trust will be contacting its members to provide them with their unique log in details. The online booking system can be found at www.anglingtrustevents.net
