The Northamptonshire Angling Action Group is pleased to announce details of the largest angling participation event in the county. The Northamptonshire Angling Festival 2014 will be taking place on Sunday 29th June at Barnwell Country Park.

Angling Clubs & coaches from all over the county will be coming together to offer free taster sessions in coarse and game angling and offer hints and tips to existing anglers looking to improve their angling skills. So whether you’re looking to learn how to cast a fly, improve your approach to catching chub on the river or catch your very first fish, there will be something going on for you & it’s all free.

Fully supported by the Angling Trust, Environment Agency & Northamptonshire County Council, there will also be loads of information on angling opportunities in Northamptonshire & how stay involved in the sport.

In addition to the angling, Barnwell Park Rangers will be running a fish themed nature trail & pond dipping activities. There will also be numerous other stalls and activities taking place so it is going to be a fantastic day.

Further information on the day will be released closer to the event. For more information contact Angling Trust Regional Officer James Roche at James.Roche@anglingtrust.net or on 07791786251.
