Acclaimed Author Hosts the Orvis Fly Fishing Guide

The Orvis Company, a recognised world leader in fly fishing equipment, kit and country clothing, has taken the art of teaching fly fishing to another level – via the internet.  In a way that founder Charles Orvis could never have imagined, after almost five decades, fly fishing instruction has gone worldwide – via podcast. Orvis has taught the art and science of fly fishing to anglers through its famed Orvis Fly Fishing Schools for many years and now is available free to your iPod.

Tom Rosenbauer, author of numerous books on fly fishing including THE ORVIS FLY FISHING GUIDE, is the weekly 10-minute podcast, providing valuable tips on angling for the novice and experienced fisher alike.  “I choose topics for my podcasts from questions people ask me all the time,” said Rosenbauer. “One of the things I enjoy most is sharing what I have learned about fly fishing with others, so I am having a good time already!”

So far, topics for the free podcast have included a three-part series on reading the water, how to teach children to fly fish, and how to take advantage of the mayfly life cycle for some of the best fishing of the season. The Orvis Fly Fishing Guide Podcast three part series can be heard for free at www.orvis.com/podcast or by searching for Orvis in the iTunes Store.
