REPORT

MOLANDS   Like all of the pools at this time of year the fishing can be a little frustrating with one day fishing really well and the next very difficult.  Match weights to 100lb have been caught with F1’s to 4lb making up the bigger catches.  Carp to 16lb have been weighed in matches too but they are localised with pegs 10 to 17 best for bigger carp.  The top tactics at the moment is to fish maggots down the first shelf at 4 – 6 metres feeding heavy and they come on later on the day with the afternoons the best time.  Top pegs are 2, 10 – 15, 21 – 25, 31, 43 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS   It has been a little more consistent on Gearys over the past week with most areas producing fish.  Pleasure anglers fishing big boilies out to the middle stumps with PVA bags have caught plenty of carp with fish to over 16lb coming to this tactic.  In the matches, straight lead and pellet waggler have accounted for the better carp bags.  But skimmers and crucians have also been going well to pole fished pellet, maggot or caster.  Top pegs are 6, 11 – 13, 17 – 23, 31, 34 and 36.

SIBLINGS A & B   Both pools have been in decent form this week with the bigger carp showing on A to meat or worm and lots of F1’s on B to pellet.

ANNIVERSARIES   The most consistent pool at the moment with F1’s showing all around the pool.  Pole and expander pellet fished over micros is the top tactic but maggot and small chunks of meat are also working.
