REPORT

MOLANDS   Carp to over 20lb, big F1’s to 6lb and bream to 4lb have featured in catches this week with match weights close to 100lb caught.  Still a little patchy with the shoals of F1’s following the wind and pegs 10 – 25, 44 – 47 and 52 – 60 are the best areas.  Maggot fished down the margins is the best tactic for F1’s but they are starting to respond to meat or pellet close in and waggler and pellet or bomb and bread fished tight up to the island is best for carp.

GEARYS   Harder this week with the number of carp and skimmers that are being caught has gone down.  Carp are showing best later in the day with corn, maggot or pellet fished close in down the margins the best tactic.  Bomb and pellet is producing a few bigger carp and fish to 16lb have been caught this week.  Best pegs are 10 – 16 for skimmers and 20 – 27 for carp.

LITTLE GEARYS   A little slow this week with match anglers finding the last couple of hours in the day best with the F1’s coming right close in down the margins and maggot or corn is the best bet.  Maggot feeder or pellet feeder fished across is also catching a few fish.  Best pegs are

3 – 11, 15, 21 and 24 – 28.

GRATUITIES   Carp are showing well on a few pegs with 1, 8, 9 – 11 and 16 fishing best.  A small waggler with pellet is catching fish to 8lb.  Pole fished caster or expander pellet is working well for mixed nets of crucians, skimmers and the odd carp and tench.

WILLOW   Fishing well with lots of carp and good sized F1’s coming out, long pole with hard pellet fished on the deck or shallow is working well for F1’s and down the margins with corn, caster or pellet are catching carp to over 14lb.  Top pegs 2, 5, 6, 8 and 13.

SIBLINGS A   It has been a little harder on Siblings A with the afternoon/evening sessions definitely best. Meat has been the best bait accounting for the bigger carp and a large number of F1’s, fishing tight up to the island or down the edge has been best.  Some good catches of ide are coming to maggot or caster fished shallow as well.

SIBLINGS B   Lots of F1’s are being caught with pole fished maggot or pellet best fished long across to the far bank.  Tench, ide and a few carp to 10lb have also featured and corn is a good change bait for the bigger fish.
