REPORT
MOLANDS   The cold weather saw catches drop last week with weights to 40lb best in matches.  The F1’s are still providing the best action with long pole with caster/maggot or expander pellet the best tactic.  Top pegs are 2, 8, 15, 19, 25 – 27, 41 – 46 and 54 – 58.
GEARYS   Gearys fished well for skimmers and roach early in the week with catches to over 40lb being caught along the high bank.  Long pole with caster, worm or pellet fished over ground bait has been the best approach.  Carp to 10lb have been caught on punched bread either on the pole or on the bomb.
LITTLE GEARYS   Fished quite hard this week with match catches to 45lb best.  Caster fished down the inside margin has been the most effective tactic for F1’s and skimmers.  A small pellet feeder fished tight up to the island is also producing a few fish.  Best pegs 7 – 13 and 25 – 29.
GRATUITIES   The water has gone a lot clearer and visible baits such as punched bread or corn are accounting for the better catches of carp.  Caster or pellet fished long on the pole is working well for mixed nets of crucians, skimmers roach and the odd tench.  Best pegs 1, 5, 8, 9 and 15.
WILLOW   Pegs 5 and 6 still providing the best catches with pellet feeder fished up to the island or a small waggler and punched bread catching carp and F1’s.
ANNIVERSARIES   Plenty of silver fish showing to maggot or caster.  Pegs 1 and 2 fishing up to the overhanging bushes have been good for carp with the odd fish into double figures along with plenty of 1 – 3lb samples.  Corn or punched bread is working best here.
