FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 21/10/12
Last week 100 rods caught 295 fish for an average of 2.95.             The boats are still doing better than the bank anglers on Cocks Close with the sandbank area and middle willows seeing most of the fish caught, although it seems the bigger fish are coming to the bank anglers.  *Mick McSheffrey of Birmingham took the laregest rainbow of the week which went 11lb and was taken from the bank of Cocks Close and fell to a Bloodworm pattern fished on a floating line.  Martin James of Sutton Coldfield fished from a boat on Cocks Close and took a 10lb 8oz rainbow which fell to a Cats Whisker.  Eddie Keene of Coventry caught an 8lb 9oz rainbow in a six fish catch from a boat on Cocks Close and these all fell to a black Buzzer fished on a floating line.  Colin Merry of Nuneaton caught a 9lb 8oz rainbow on a small Damsel Nymph, again from a boat on Cocks Close.
Hall Pool has re-opened and the few that fished it over the weekend all caught plenty of fish.  The works undergone have transformed the pool and it looks superb at the moment.   Andrew Moulder of Dorridge fished from a boat on there and caught seven fish to 3lb 8oz on small suspended Buzzers fished just below the surface.  On Park Meadow, Gary Cooper of Sutton Coldfield caught six fish to 3lb on white Lures fished on an intermediate line.
Best patterns are Cats Whisker, Damsel Nymph, Bloodworm, GRHE, Diawl Bach, black or olive Buzzers and pearly P T Nymph.

Cocks Close opens at 8am and closes at dusk.   Contact the Fishery on 01676 522754 or check out our website on www.packingtonestate.net.
