REPORT

MOLANDS The carp have responded best to the warmer temperatures with fish to 15lb featuring in nets to 100lb. The F1s have switched off a little but still samples to 7lb have been caught. The water is colouring more and shallow tactics are starting to feature with pellet waggler, jigger or long pole and pellet fished shallow all accounting for a few fish. The best way to bag up though is to fish down the margins with pellet, corn or caster working best. Top pegs are 2, 15 – 25, 29 – 33, 41 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Much better this week with 100lb+ catches for the first time this year with plenty of double figure carp featuring too. Top tactics for carp have been method with boilies/dead reds and straight lead with big pellets. The skimmers have been feeding well with fish to 4lb in nets to 40lb+ with worm and caster or soft pellet fished on the pole working. Top pegs are 9 – 13,
18 – 23 and 30 – 33.

LITTLE GEARYS The F1s have not been as prolific as in previous weeks but good consistent fishing has been had all week on Little Gearys. Shallow tactics working well with pellet waggler, ‘plopper’ and pole and pellet fished shallow working well. A small method or pellet feeder fished to the island is also catching well. Best pegs 3, 7 – 11, 17 – 21 And 25 – 29.

GRATUITIES Fished better this week with the carp showing in increasing numbers. Bomb and pellet or waggler with corn or pellet fished to the middle island is the best tactic for carp. Caster, maggot and soft pellet are producing good mixed nets on the pole with crucians particularly showing in numbers now on this.
SIBLINGS A (Doughnut) Pleasure anglers enjoyed good sport on ‘A’ with mixed nets of carp, F1s, ide and skimmers being caught on float fished pellet or maggot. The bigger carp have shown better later in the day and fishing close down the margins with corn has seen double figure carp caught.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe) Hectic sport with lots of F1s being caught and when you get them going you can catch one every drop, close in at 5 metres. Carp, skimmers and tench are also being caught.

WILLOW Fishing up to the island or down the margins for the better carp with fish to 15lb being caught this week. Shallow pole with pellet is accounting for big nets of F1s. Best pegs have been 1 – 3, 5, 8 and 11 to 13.

ANNIVERSARIES In good form with decent catches of small carp, F1s and ide with the odd big bream and tench being caught from all areas of the pool. Float fished corn, pellet or caster have all been working well with pleasure anglers reporting catches to nearly 100lb.
