REPORT

MOLANDS    Molands has been fishing well with a few 100lb+ nets on matches and some big catches by pleasure anglers being reported as well.  Carp to nearly 20lb and F1’s to 7lb have featured this week and shallow fishing has been best.  Long pole with pellet or pellet waggler have accounted for the bigger catches but pellet feeder method and meat down the margins has also been working well.  Top pegs have been 2, 4, 10, 12, 15, 21, 29, 31, 44 – 46 and 52.

GEARYS   There have been a lot of double figure carp caught with fish to 19lb reported this week.  Match weights to 100lb have been caught but generally the sport has been a little patchy in matches.  Bomb and 8mm pellet or method feeder to the middle stumps are the best tactics for carp.  Good nets of silvers to 40lb are being caught on corn, caster or expander pellet fished close in over ground bait.  Top pegs have been 6, 10 – 13, 16, 18 – 23, 29 – 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   The most consistent pool on the fishery at the moment with match weights to nearly 150lb and lots of good back up nets as well.  Shallow fishing on the pole at 13 metres is the top tactic, but pellet waggler, pellet feeder and meat down the margins have all been working well.  Top pegs have been 1 – 7, 15, 19, 21 and 24 – 28.

GRATUITIES   Lots of carp on or near the surface and floating baits such as dog biscuit, big expanders or bread have been catching lots of fish with a few into double figures.  Float fished corn, pellet or maggot have been catching good mixed nets with crucians, skimmers, tench and some decent perch coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES   Lots of good feedback from Anniversaries this week with the lovely looking pool growing in popularity.  F1’s showing on all pegs with lots of fish in the 8oz – 1lb range and the odd bigger samples.  Ide, skimmers, small carp and the odd tench to 5lb have also featured in nets with float fished pellet, corn, worm or maggot all working well.

SIBLINGS A & B    Both pools have been providing nets to 60lb+ with long pole to the far bank/island the best approach for F1’s, carp and ide.   The top baits have been worm, pellet or caster.

WILLOW   Another pool in good form with carp and F1’s showing on all pegs.  Feeder or waggler fished to the island is working well.  Floating baits are catching the bigger carp with fish to 16lb caught this week later in the day.  Paste and meat fishing down the margins are catching lots of fish.
