REPORT

MOLANDS Some decent nets of F1s were caught last week with fish to 5lb in bags over 50lb. It is still very patchy though and the high winds got the fish moving around but pegs 15 – 19,
25 – 27, 43, 44 and 52 – 58 have been the best areas. Long pole with maggot or pinkies have been best.

GEARYS Bomb and orange wafter is the tactic for carp fishing at range with a teabag or cone and this week fish to 12lb have fell to this. Skimmers have been caught on the pole with maggot, pinkies or expander pellet fished over ground bait with the high bank the best area for nets to 20lb.

LITTLE GEARYS Like most of the pools it has been very patchy on Little Gearys with pockets of F1s moving around the pool and nets to 30lb were best last week with either the pole fished maggot or maggot feeder the best tactics. Pegs 7 – 13 and 25 – 28 have been the most consistent.

GRATUITIES Good nets of silvers with bags of skimmers, roach and a few decent sized perch coming to maggot or pinkies fished over ground bait on the pole. A few carp are being caught with bomb and pellet or waggler with pellet/bread punch the best tactics.

WILLOW A small maggot feeder fished tight to the island is working for F1s and the odd carp. Waggler with 6mm pellet accounting for the better sized carp and there are plenty of silver fish to be caught on pole and maggot.

ANNIVERSARIES In good form early in the week with lots of F1s showing on the early pegs from 1 – 8 and some bigger sized bream coming out on the other pegs with fish to 5lb weighed in last week. Pole and pellet or maggot is working best.
