REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has been in great form over the last week with weights in matches to nearly 150lb and lots of carp coming out into double figures. Various methods are working well with bomb or pellet waggler fished tight across to the island with big pellets working best for carp. F1’s and carp down the edges are coming to paste, corn or meat fished close in. Shallow tactics are also working well with pole and pellet/maggot at 13 metres. Top pegs have been
3, 10, 12 – 19, 25 – 33, 39, 43 – 48 and 52 – 56.

GEARYS Still a bit up and down but some good weights caught this week and the bigger carp are showing better with fish to 19lb caught in matches. Method feeder with dead reds fished out to the middle stumps or bomb and pellet are working best for the carp. Good nets of silvers are coming to maggot/caster or expander pellet. Top pegs have been 9 – 13, 18 – 21, 27 – 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Natural baits are working well with caster or maggot fished shallow taking nets to 100lb+. Waggler fished to the island is also catching plenty of fish with more carp coming to this to double figures. Top pegs have been 3 – 7, 10 – 15, 19 – 21 and 24 – 28.

GRATUITIES Pleasure anglers have enjoyed good sport with lots of crucians, carp, tench and skimmers being caught. Float fished pellet, corn and caster have worked well for mixed nets. Carp are still responding best to pellet waggler fished tight to the island. Best pegs have been
1, 4 – 8 and 11 – 15.

WILLOW Shallow tactics have been best with plenty of F1’s and carp coming to the pellet waggler fished up to the island and pole with caster or pellet fished shallow down the middle of the pool.

SIBLINGS A & B All anglers fishing these pools have enjoyed good sport with carp, F1’s, ide and skimmers showing well. Simple pole with pellet or maggot tactics have been best on both of these pools with worm or corn best change baits for the bigger fish.
