REPORT

MOLANDS   Carp are still showing well with fish into double figures and plenty around the 5 – 10lb mark showing well to pellet feeder to the island, pellet waggler or down the inside margin with corn, worm or big pellet over ground bait.  The F1’s are going well to maggot fished shallow at 8 – 11 metres and nets to 70lb+ have been caught on this tactic last week.  Best pegs are 2, 4, 8 – 13, 21, 27, 31, 42 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS   The carp are up in the water and shallow tactics have been best with pellet waggler, candle or long pole and pellet are all working well for carp.  Fish to 19lb have featured in matches this week.  The skimmers are showing on some areas with worm and caster the best approach for fish to 3lb in nets to 40lb.  Best pegs are 6, 9, 12, 13, 17 – 21, 27, 29, 31 and 33.

LITTLE GEARYS   Little Gearys fished much harder last week with the F1’s not responding as well as previous weeks.  Long pole with banded hard pellet or corn has been the best tactics with method feeder or pellet feeder fished to the island also worth a try.  Top pegs are 3, 5, 8 – 16, 21, 26 and 29.

GRATUITIES   Carp in the 2 – 5lb range have provided the best sport on Grats with pellet waggler or paste down the edge the top tactics.  Caster or expander pellet fished at 6 – 10 metres is accounting for some nice nets of crucians, skimmers and tench.  Top pegs 1, 3, 8, 9, 13 and 15.

WILLOW   A bit slow for most of the week with the better catches being taken later in the day by fishing corn or paste down the margins for carp, F1’s, tench and skimmers.  During the day, a small waggler fished tight up to the island is catching a few F1’s and small carp.  Best pegs 1, 5, 6, and 10.

SIBLINGS A (Doughnut)   Siblings has been a bit patchy during matches but pleasure anglers seem to be liking the new pools with lots of carp in the 2 – 4lb range and a few larger samples being caught.  Pole fished pellet, either short or at the island is the best tactic.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe)   This new pool has been in great form with the pegs at the end of the point from 7 – 11 fishing really well for carp, F1’s and tench.  Pole fished corn or pellet is accounting for nets to 80lb.
