Last week there 44 rods caught 120 fish for an average of 2.73.

A few more anglers around last week with the milder weather bringing them out. The fishing has still been a little patchy with the fish still shoaling in the old boat jetty corner of the lake.

The biggest fish of the week was a 6lb 8oz rainbow taken by Ian Reeve of Rugby who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and he took it on a Damsel Nymph fished on a floating line and it accounted for seven other fish. Roger Wheat of Nuneaton fished from the bank of Cocks Close and caught seven fish to 5lb using Cats Whiskers and Buzzers on a floating line.

On the Park Meadow pool, Allan Bowen of Birmingham fished from a boat and caught seven fish to 5lb and these all fell to a Cats Whisker fished on an intermediate line. Alan Mann of Birmingham caught five fish to 3lb from a boat on Park Meadow and again Cats Whisker was the successful pattern.

Best patterns have been Cats Whisker, white Fritz, black Buzzer and Damsel Nymph.

The Trout Fishery is open seven days a week from 8am until dusk.
