Mick Drew peg 31 on the bore hole not a peg you want on this very windy day, he had to fish the pole out at 12.5m to get a bite, fishing at the edge of the submerged building feeding 4mm pellets and with a 6mm pellet on the hook he had 28 carp – 6lb and weighed in 89lb 8oz. 2nd place went to team mate Pete Ellis fishing pole and soft pellet at 5m and down the margin because of the wind, he finished with 77lb 14oz of carp – 8lb 3rd place on this star studded match went to Andy Findlay fishing a small pellet feeder and hair rigged pellet cast to the island for 20 carp -5lb.

Drawn on what’s now considered one the best pegs on the lake there would only be one out come when John drew it, alternating between popped up bread cast to the weed beds and pole and pellet fished down the margin he had 14 carp – 8lb steady through the match finishing with a total of 64lb 9oz. In 2nd place Shaun fished pole and pellet for a all skimmer net with his biggest fish going just 2lb
