Jason and Richard were the only anglers that caught from the start, Jason fished a small method feeder cast to the lily pads with corn on the hair rig he had a fish first cast and a bite nearly every cast, ending with 24 carp – 4lb. 2nd place Richard fished pole and paste also had a carp on his first put in but it was a 6lber he finished the match with 12 carp in his net the biggest going 10lb

Pegs 21 and 35 again produced the 1st and 2nd places, but the weights where down on last week due to the red hot sunny day. Carl fished pole and pellet out and down the margin under the willow were he caught most of his 22 carp the biggest being about 6lb, he fed 2 big pots of green g/bait mixed with green 3mm pellets at the start and only topped up when the bites slowed down. In 2nd Pete fished pole and pellet short at 6m he only landed 8 carp but his biggest was nearly 10lb

 

 

 

Sherwood Lake Tuesday 16/08/05

1st Geoff Bennett Peg One BCUK peg 43, 42-1-0

 

2nd Neil Wilkinson Sherwood Forest Fishery peg 37, 34-8-0

 

3rd Mick Stafford Peg One Angling Pinxton peg 42, 28-1-0

 

4th John Wooff Sherwood Fishery’s No.1 bailiff peg 57, 23-14-0

 

5th Jim Strachan Sherwood Forest Fishery peg 29, 22-2-0

Despite the hot and flat calm conditions Geoff managed to keep in touch with the skimmers fishing pole and pellet short in the shade of the willow tree in peg 43 he caught skimmers – 2lb and a few small carp – 1lb, to finish over 7lb in front of Neil fishing pole and pellet at the side of the lily pad he also took skimmers – 2lb but had two bonus Carp of 6lb each
