Sherwood Forest Farm Park Fishery
Pleasure catches on all lakes have been well up, the Cavendish Lake is still in great form for bream – 3lb and roach – 1lb pole and caster up in the water and pellet on the deck have accounted for some excellent days fishing with 100 fish in a session on a regular basis, the Carp- 14lb on floaters cast to the far bank. The Maunside is producing match weights to over 60lb and pleasure fishing you can expect over a tonne, pole pellet and caster have been best, fished same as the Cavendish, but the caster for chub – 1lb and pellet for the carp – 2lb all pegs producing. Big Bream – 6lb on the Sherwood lake mostly on the pole and 4mm pellet fished over green swim stim pellet, you don’t have to fish to far out when your pleasure fishing. I wouldn’t be without C/worm and caster and a tin of sweet corn, road side pegs are producing but the field side is were you can park at your peg, Fishing on the Langdale as really improved this summer pole fishing at 8m and across at 12m its a bite every put in, caster and pellet again working well for chub ide skimmers and small carp in nets -50lb.  The carp on the Holmedale lake have gone on a feeding frenzy Roger Holmes from Mansfield as been catching over 50 carp – 10lb in a session on pole and paste fishing 6m out over pellets and green g/bait, all pegs round the lake producing lots of fish for pleasure anglers weights over 100lb regular, and over 70lb is needed to win most matches, don’t forget your bread and leave your boilies at home they are not allowed.
The lane down to the lakes has know been repaired and all the pot holes filled in so watch your speed.
