Ian fished the pellet wagler and pellet up in the water casting to the small island at peg 17 catching steady for most of the match he had an hectic last hour landing 70lb 5oz of carp – 4lb. 2nd place Nigel watched his lead disappear having a blank last hour he landed 10 carp – 9lb on the pole and paste fished sort at 6m.

Fred fished popped up bread cast to the weed beds in peg 40 landing 15 carp – 10lb winning by nearly 10lb with 71lb 10oz. 2nd and 3rd places were decided on carp Dave landing two and Lee one, and both weighing in over 51lb of Ide – 1lb Dave fishing the pole and worm and Lee on the pole and caster.

Paul drew peg 36 on the road side and fished the pole and paste down both margins a gamble that paid off landing 25 carp – 7lb steady all match finishing with a winning weight of 115lb 7oz a long way in front of regular framer Norman Powers, drawn at 26 he fished a small pellet method cast to the lily’s and the pole and pellet landing 21 carp – 5lb for a respectable 4 hour weight of 78lb 4oz.

In form At the moment Alan Warren can do no wrong drawn at 32 on the Holmedale Lake he fished the pellet waggler tight to the lily pads with 8mm pellet on the hook and feeding 4 pellets every 30 seconds to keep in touch with the fish he managed to land over 30 carp the biggest going 7lb weighing in 89lb 3 oz and helping his team to the no.1 spot. 2nd and at the next peg Mick Smith alternated the pellet method cast to the pads and the pole and meat at 12m landing 24 carp -8lb. best on the Maunside was Mick Elliott fishing the pole and paste down the middle for an all carp net with fish going to just 4lb, and top weight on the Langdale went to his team mate Mark bower fishing the pole and C/worm for an impressive net of Ide – 1lb.

Alan again for the 3rd match in a row drew peg 19 fishing the same has Sunday with the short pole and meat he landed carp to 8lb and despite the heavy storms during the match he weighed in 82lb 11oz to top this close match 2nd placed Mick fished a pellet method feeder cast to the island and later meat down the margin also landing carp – 8lb in his total of 78lb 4oz.

Lee fished an excellent match on the pole and caster landing 52lb 4oz of Ide – 1lb and in the last hour he had 5 carp on the pole and corn down the margin his best a specimen mirror weighing 16lb 2oz, altogether making a total of 79lb 7oz. Bridesmaid again Dave Round fished the pole and meat down the margin at peg 40 to land an all carp net with his biggest going just 4lb.

Alan drew peg 19 at the top of the bay and didn’t fish then usual feeder cast to the island instead he fished the pole and meat short at 6m and also down the margin landing 23 carp – 8lb steady throughout this 4 hour match finishing with a total of 90lb 7oz. 2nd place went to Mansfield’s bus driver Dave Round he fished the pole and paste down both margins to land carp – 8lb in his net of 85lb 5oz

The top three weights all came from pellets fished up in the water, in top spot with 140lb 14oz Kristian fished the floating candle method and 8mm pellet just below the surface feeding 6 pellets every cast he landed over 40 carp – 5lb. Both 2nd and 3rd placed anglers fished the pellet wagler shallow cast to the lily pads Pete just edged in front of Alan landing over 50 carp – 3lb for a total of 107lb14oz to Alan’s 104lb 5oz.

Disappointing turn out due to the disappointing England game on the TV but our results weren’t. Mansfield’s Daz Stayley found the net with 120lb 7oz of carp from the bore hole peg 31 fishing pole and corn shallow feeding pellets he landed 25 carp – 8lb. 2nd placed Rob fished the pole and meat tight down the margin at peg 17 landing 20 carp – 10lb steady throughout the match finishing with 88lb 3oz.
