1st Jim Mercer, Palmer Moorwood B peg 45, Sherwood 30-14-0

 

2nd Paul Carline, New Tupton A peg 32 Sherwood 30-8-0

 

3rd Andy Guy Palmer, Moorwood B peg 1 Langdale 23-1-0

 

4th Phil Carline, New Tupton B peg 29, Sherwood 17-0-0

 

5th Steve Hamstead, Manton B peg 50, Sherwood 14-0-0

 

6th Mick Elliot, New Tupton A peg 12 Langdale 13-12-0

 

 The weather didn’t do the anglers any favours with thunder storms throughout the night and a couple during the match. Jim Mercer drawn at 45, (permanent peg 42) fished the pole and corn down the margin feeding pellets at the bottom of the self he had 16 carp on the hook and only managed to land half of them, the best he got out was 7lb but he said the biggest he lost would have eaten that. 2nd placed Paul Carline fished pole and pellet for a net of small carp- 1lb, tench and chub. Best weight on the Langdale come from 3rd placed Andy Guy after practicing on their in the week he drew hot peg 1 fishing pole and pellet and caster he had a net of chub Ide and skimmers for a total of 23lb 1oz.

Top team honours went to Shireoaks A with 19 points on weight.  

2nd Palmer Moorwood A 19 points.

And despite having 2 section winners 3rd place went to Palmer Moorwood B 24 points.

Despite getting a good soaking most anglers enjoyed it, the event will be run the same weekend next year on the Holmedale and Sherwood lakes
