The top two weights were taken on the pole and bread fished on the surface, Pete having 35 carp – 9lb and Eric had 29 carp -10lb, in 3rd place veteran angler John fished pole and pellet on the bottom at peg 17 having over 60 carp – 5lb and weighing 112lb 1oz a weight that would normally win most matches

A change from the Sherwood lake because of a club match booking proved a successful move, it was a fish every put out for all fishing for the 1st 3 hours until the heavens opened then it was just the odd fished caught for the nexted 2 hours. John fished pole and caster to the far bank at 12m he had a net of mainly chub – 1lb with a few carp – 3lb

Eric continues his good form at this fishery this time fishing pole at 10m and bread on the surface he had 30 carp -10lb catching steady through the match he would have broke the 200lb mark if not for a blank 30 minutes at the end, but he is now the holder of the 4 hour match record adding over 50lb to the old one.
