On Sunday May 16th the National Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair will take place at the Abbey Stadium Sports Centre on the Birmingham Road in Redditch Worcestershire B97 6EJ.

Auctioneer Neil Freeman of Angling Auctions (sponsors of the fair) will be on hand to value any item of tackle. Over 40 of the country’s foremost dealers are taking stands and as well as selling vintage tackle they are also keen to buy, so why not put together a bag or box of old bits and bring them along.  Fair organiser John Andrews will be on the door and will point you in the direction of the right dealer for the kit you have.  You will find dealers eager to buy everything from reels to rods, to floats, to fishing bags to books.  Garry Mills of the Mill Tackle Company will also be in attendance and can offer on the spot advice and restoration for centrepin and 20th century fixed spool British reels.
Entry is only £2 with doors opening at 9am. For more information telephone John on 07980 274 383 or email him at johneandrews@btinternet.com.  Some stalls still available.
