The Memorial match takes place on Saturday 13th October on the River Severn at Shrewsbury.

Organiser Ian Ward is hoping for a full house turnout as it will be the first match of the winter series and will also be used to test all areas of the match length. “The Shrewsbury match length has been in the doldrums for a couple of years but the signs are good as friends have reported some decent returns in recent weeks,” Ian said. “Hopefully, we’ll see some good weights on Perry’s match and it will be the start of some good competitions throughout the winter months. Perry was passionate about the river and is sadly missed so it would be great to see all his old friends at match.”Places for the match can be booked through the Total Angling tackle shop on 01743 462699. The draw takes place at the shop at 8.30am with fishing from 10.30am till 3.30pm.
