Ray Inman bagged seven fish on his latest visit to Packington Somers’ Trout Fishery, including a fine rainbow going 8lb 2oz.

All the fish came while boat fishing at Cock’s Close and fell for a Damsel pattern fished on a floating line in a week when the rod average went over three fish per angler. Biggest fish of the week was a 9lb 8oz rainbow from Park Meadow Pool. The fish fell to a Cat’s Whisker fished by Nuneaton angler Michael Turner. The hotspots have been the high bank, the old jetty and the roadbank. On Great Pool the shallow water on the boat bank and the area to the right of the jetty have been producing.
