BIG name celebrities, top fishing tips and the chance to net a real bargain, just some of what’s in store at this year’s Tacklefest – which is also celebrating a move to a brand new venue.

A huge date in the angler’s calendar, Tacklefest (on July 23) is moving from the Peterborough  Embankment to a bigger and better indoor location at Exec Peterborough at the East of England Showground.

Organisers have seen the event grow in recent years and were looking for a larger venue, particularly an indoor location to house the popular retail zone.

Richard Lee, editor of Angling Times and part of the event organising team said: “Over 8,000 angling enthusiasts are expected to flock to Peterborough again this year to ensure they don’t miss out on the fishing event of the year.

“We wanted the show to be able to grow and the East of England Showground and Exec Peterborough are perfect for this – there’s plenty of room to develop new areas both inside and outdoors. We also wanted the retail zone to be undercover so bad weather wouldn’t deter our loyal visitors, and Exec Peterborough enjoys great road links and easy access from nearby towns and cities.”

Whether a novice or an expert, there is something for all fishing fans and their families at Tacklefest 2011 – including celebrity demonstrations, free coaching, a new casting interactive area, and TV fishing guru John Wilson will also be revealing his greatest catches of all time.

Hollie Ward, Exec Peterborough account manager said: “We are thrilled that the Tacklefest organisers have chosen Exec Peterborough to host such a popular event – giving us the chance to demonstrate what a great venue it is in terms of space, on-site facilities, catering and location.”
