One of the Midlands’ most picturesque venues, Hampstall Fishery, is coming up for sale with an offer price of around a quarter of a million pounds.

Set in the rolling Staffordshire countryside near Rugeley to the north of Birmingham, the four lake venue has been developed and run as a coarse fishery by Geoff Payne of the Institute of Fisheries Management for the last 10 years.

The Hampstall site up for sale has 67 pegs covering nine acres, plus a 400 metre stretch of adjoining River Blithe.

The four stream fed lakes hold carp to 20lb plus good stocks of tench, perch to 3lb, roach, chub, rudd, bream and crucian carp. The Blithe holds brown trout, grayling, chub to 6lb, dace, roach, perch and eels.

Also included in the sale is a Fisherman’s Lodge, a six berth caravan. A further six acres of land is also on offer.

Offers in the region of £225,000 are invited by agents Fisher German, who can be contacted on 01530 412821. For those online, more details on the venue can be found at www.fisheries.co.uk/hamstallsale .
