Jeremiah Michael caught and released this potential new IGFA all tackle world record freshwater snapper (Lutjanus fuscencens) while casting a lure along the shoreline of a jungle river in Sulawesi, Indonesia when the potential record snapper hit.

After a short, but tough fight on heavy spinning gear, Malaysian angler Michael was able to land the snapper – which he quickly documented, weighed, and released alive. If approved, the catch will replace the existing All-Tackle Record of 12 kg (26 lb 7 oz).
