In a male dominated sport, Claire earned huge respect for her angling abilities, an awesome angler judging by her record, an awesome person judging by the comments of those that did have the privilage of knowing her.

    R.I.P. Claire.

    Sorry sight indeed……

If breaking ice is alledged to shock the fishg, why is it then that whe nyou break ice on a canal or commercial fishery, you can still catch fish?….

I might be out of date on todays match fashions, but I thought sound actually encouraged fish to wander over to feed, hence spraying pellets, etc…

Dragging a block through ice might not sound the same, but any noise is sure to cause fish to be inquisitive….

I would hazzard a guess that Mick has upped his output to try and supply the demand….

His are the originals, just because other people have started making and selling thier own, I doubt they would be any concern as far as orders for Micks go…

Left, right,Liberal, facist, they are all the same to me Rob, nothing but liars, all oout to fleece the working man out of his hard earnt, letting all and sundry claim benefits instead of working, again, at the working mans expense, and lining their fat a***d wallets with again, the working mans money…

is it any wonder I wouldn’t believe a politician if they told me today was saturday?….

I know it’s frustrating Ron,the law has been all wrong for as long as I can remmeber, even when I was in the job,so I not only know how much hard work goes into prepping files for the CPS to send to the courts, only for the offender to get a slap on the wrist, and let free to offend again and again….but the frustration of being let down by the leniency of the sentences set down by them..

But getting verbal on a public forum isn’t going to change a thing,it only makes those who are infuriated by this morons actions look like thugs, which I know a lot of you aren’t,but those who don’t know you might think different..

    And scarfie mi ol’ mukka,
I didn’t mean to put you on the spot, just letting them know it was brought to my attention…You’ll be safe, just be carefull who gets yer brekkies next match !! LOL

    NB.. Note to self….

    Come on ladies and gents,

I know it’s not a nice subject, but is there any need to stoop to the same level of the sicko by offering threats of violence?…

I have already had one complaint for removuing an offensive thread, and this one was brought to my attention too, so can we please calm it down, and let the “Courts” deal with convicting folk, and less of the vigilante attitude?..

    Cheers,
    Si.

I am, and I had a PM complaining about the post and it’s contents,so dealt with it.

You have to understand that subjects like that are unpleasant at best, with a majority of even the sickest minds saying that is out of order.

Having only just got back into the breach, I haven’t been through every thread on here, hence not seen them, but I will do what I can to get them cleaned up.

Can I also ask in future, if you want to question me about a decision, do it via PM, not on the open forum?..
    Thanks.

I don’t think you can beat a good golden rum. Normal tipple though is the Havana Club Gold or Black (7 year). The Mrs always gets me a bottle or two for my birthday (which usually doesn’t last till the day after lol). Have most of the others such as Appletons etc, but always seem to go back to the Sailor Jerrys or Havana Club.

Morgans spiced, Lambs Navy Rum,Overproof, Rhaki,Metaxa,Glenmorangie,Glenfiddich,And if I could get my hands on some, a nice bottle of Dalmore…..

sadly, I’d have to sell my tackle to buy a bottle of the bugger !

Rob Hitchens did it a few years ago in the Lindholme winter league and cleared up….

I suppose it’s the ammount you put on the hook that does it,as well as the texture.
