One of the UK’s biggest names in carp fishing, Iain Macmillan, has signed up for Shimano Normark UK, adding both ACE (Advanced Carp Equipment) and Dynamite Baits to his current Shimano tackle sponsorship.

Iain, who was previously backed by Nash for bait and end tackle, will be heavily involved in both Shimano and ACE product development, as well as promoting all of the Shimano Normark UK brands in magazine articles, promotional guides, on websites and through videos.

Steve Cole, Shimano Normark UK’s Marketing Manager, feels Iain will have a lot to offer both ACE and Dynamite Baits under the Shimano Normark UK banner: “I’ve been impressed with Iain for a number of years. He is one of only a few anglers that understand what is expected of a top quality angling consultant. He’s not only a top class angler, but also a great personality to promote our brands to the consumer.

“Iain will have a big part to play in the development and testing of ACE and Shimano products, together with new Dynamite Baits carp products, but his promotional work is key to the success of all brands. He will continue his great work with all UK magazines, and be involved in some promotional projects we have planned as well as attending shows and shop open days.”

Iain Macmillan had this to say about his new sponsorship: “I’ve been involved with Shimano for a number of years now, so when Shimano Normark UK was formed to include Shimano, ACE and Dynamite Baits I took no persuading to add ACE and Dynamite Baits as sponsors. I’m really excited about developing the brands, especially ACE alongside like minded anglers and Mr. Meticulous himself Max Cottis.

“As for Dynamite Baits, I think it’s fair to say they have every single eventuality covered for my angling. In fact the range is that big and of such a high quality I’m struggling to decide on which baits to use!

“I’d like to thank Alan Blair and all his staff at Nash for the last couple of years sponsorship, but I know it’s going to be very exciting times ahead for all at Shimano Normark UK,” concluded Iain.
