Report:
The much looked forward to first match of the winter on Lagoon suffered badly after two hard successive frosty nights, and on a cold, still and dull day bites were hard to come by.

Stu Johnstone (peg 19) decided to sit and wait for a bite on soft pellet fished short and was rewarded with three carp for 32-02 and a few small bream which lifted his weight to a winning 34-02.

On peg 8 Steve Ward had 5-00 of small bream and a carp of 2-00 then hooked a big fish that took some time to land. Adding this carp of 18-08 to his other fish gave him 26-08 for second place.

Simon Skelton on peg 15 caught 5-06 of silvers and four carp for his 25-12 for third place, Danny Ross (peg 17) taking fourth with 6 small carp for 18-02 and some silvers giving him a total of 21-02.
