Neil Fished pole and paste out at 8m feeding 2 small balls of groundbait at the start he had carp move onto it straight away he had 4 fish in the first half hour the had 25 more – 7lb steady through the match ending with another ton up weight of 101lb 3oz. It could have been different if 2^nd place Pete Ellis had got all the fish out that he hooked, fishing pole and corn down the margin he had 20 carp – 9lb and 10lb short of the winner with 91lb 8oz

A very close match through out John Holmes winning is first open match at this venue fishing pole and pellet and caster he had a mixed net of skimmers and carp – 2lb + chub roach and tench fishing two lines he kept the fish interested by only catching 2 fish of each line then resting it. 2^nd place went to Shaun Lambert he fished pole and pellet at 8m he had a bit most puts out ending with 43lb 11oz of carp and skimmers – 1lb ½

The last of the 3 hours evening matches and Pete was back at the top of the list fishing pole and corn down the margin for 17 carp – 8lb 2^nd placed Glen fished method feeder and meat cast tight to the island he had 26 carp – 5lb
