We got sent a letter this morning from nfa saying it has been switched.

To the Fossdyke or not?

Last I heard was that Div 2 will be on the Leeds – Liverpool at the Wigan end ish.

If it gets any further north ,we will not get a team!we all suffer from virtigo down here!

poolfodder, the fossdyke is in the Lincs area, A1 on the way to Skeg-Vegas, if i recall correctly. But more to the point, is THIS TRUE? there were indeed rumours a few months ago, i phoned the NFA but felt i was only getting half the story…

Emailed nfa today,no reply,we all need to know ASAP?

I think the draw is at the newark showground and the match venues are no more than 40 minutes away.

On the fosdyke and worksop, thats what we were told.

No its definately been switched,lad on the AT match forum got the same letter as us this morning.

Yep definately been changed we’ve had the letter to confirm it.

If this is true then i cant begin to tell you what an utter shame and let down it is.
If it is because the NFA are worried about the trent being flooded and the associated health and safety reasons, then i can understand it totally, but you are going to miss out on a great match, its been fishing very well, despite the floodwater, and there have been so many practice matches organised that will probably not go ahead now.
I know a lot of lads who have been putting in the hours already despite the flood, accepting that if it is still in flood they will have to fish it.
what a shame.

IF its on the fossdyke cant see how they will get all the pegs in and parking is going to be an absolute nightmare. The fishing shouldnt be too bad though.

the parking wont be to bad mate. we will be peggin it. i think there are 300 or so on the foss and 200 odd on the chesterfield canal. the foss is fishing its nuts off too.

cant believe they moved it off the trent though as the rain is surposed to ease now and with that extra water it would have been fantastic.

anyone wants any info our team can point you in the right direction.

Bet you wish Lincoln was fishing it would be odds on favourites to win. Spliting with the chessie makes sense. Should be a good National. Any of your lads guesting for other teams.
