Can anyone offer sound advice on which insurance is spot on for tackle cover, if not Tackle Guard then who? I have tried several times to get onto their site via local Total Fishing links and others from Google – all with no luck!!
Having lost pole sections recently (no insurance!!) I think I should get cover before a real disaster happens.

I just get mine added to my contents insurance, cheap as chips and never had an issue with a claim yet, I stood on 5/6/7/8 in the garage once, paid up straight away

Big Dog, I have my fishing tackle covered on my house contents insurance I basically requested that I wanted it covered both on and off the bank. They came up with a price which is quite high but for piece of mind its covered and whenever I’ve had a problem its been delt with no hassles.

i work for an insurer lads and trust me you are better just adding PP cover to your contents upto the value you take to the bank i.e £4k etc etc. Also any individual items worth over £1500 have to be specified on the policy poles etc.

Tckleguard no longer do angling insurance. They refunded all policies a couple of months ago.

                    Thanks to all for comments!
I’ll go to my House & Contents provider for a quote!
It’s a shame I wasted time looking and trying to chase TackleGuard through links that are still showing on this site!!! Perhaps someone should pull the ad from the
                    “Insurance” link (Left of page)
Thanks again for your comments/advice :o)
