Yes,they can be a bit finnicky at times,probably the crucian in them.

I was using 0.15 last weekend,and they were having it large,but in the other lakes,using 0.11 was in order…

It depends on their moods cocker……just like women !!!

They either have it and can’t get enough,or they just stick their noses up if offered it…. LOL

From the few places I fish,which stock F1’s in any number,is at first,like all wild fish,they will go for whatever is thrown at them,and are not line shy.

But after a few times getting caught,they wise up,and are more suspicious,so the lighter lines being more supple,makes the bait look more natural……..

All trial and error if I am honest………

It also depends upon how much feed has gone in. Feed little and often and you will still catch on the heavier lines. If you over do the loose feed the fish start to get full and become a lot more finicky!
The hook in the loop is brilliant for F1s!

I’ve always used 0.13 powerline for f1’s shallow and never found the need to go lighter.

CD don’t all fish have moods like women?? not just f1’s.

Do they get finicky if you overfeed or is it there are less competing as some have hit the deck?? just a thought

i find if you trickle it in, little and often they come up and wont go down on you…
