        Weekend break.
        Hope to get at least a few hours fishing, will be light gear, mainly lure.
        Anyone about?
        Staying in Shanklin.
        Would like to find some Mackie or Bass, but would love to find some Gar if still about, prefer from the beach.
        Will have very limited gear as it will be the Tizzy skateboard, as the beast will still be in bits.
        Still will save me about £120 in fuel bills!

            Hi Greenman, I’m in Shanklin, but off to Alderney this weekend. Try Sandown Pier or Yellow Ledge for Mackerel (loads about at the moment) Use fresh mackerel, or plugs for the bass. Heaps of Gar about at the moment, try floatfishing for these at the SP and YL venues. Some sole starting to show too…..

                Will try my best with limited gear, and allowed! time!!
                May also have a problem with only one arm working, but will do my best.
