You need plenty of bait to bag up! Hemp with either meat or corn are the top and most consistent baits. Feed down the bank on both sides and also at the bottom of the near shelf. If you can also reach an island fish it there as well. Thats about it at this time of year. Its solid with fish on a lot of pegs.

I fish hemp and 6mm meat, lots of hemp! if youre on the open on Rock tomorrow i can give some pointers assuming I can get up early enough! I won the last Sun evening match off rock but i believe it fishes much harder during the day so may take it easier tomorrow, it could be very peggy.

The club match on Meadow today was won with 13lb!
I was in the open on Rock, it really does fish much harder during the day, had absolutly sod all on the pole all 9 fish (3rd with 44lb) on the pellet feeder tight to island with 6mm pellet banded on a hair rig, which was the same method used by the winner (58lb), stayed on after and an hour later the fish moved in and I caught steadily with meat and hemp at 5m.

Up to a few weeks ago Meadow was fishing its nuts off(and the other pools).
As stated above you need to take hemp, meat & corn. Tell your mate not to feed to much at the start and take it from there. A good change of bait down the sides to pick up lumps are red meat & a whole dendra.
Make sure he uses heavy gear the carp/barbel are big/powerful.
