gloves, there are a lot of skimmers at bowerhill/ seend. The match will be won with a net of skimmers, Best way to catch them is by cupping in a bit of GB and fishing red maggot or pinkie overdepth over the top. However for a team match you shouldn’t ignore the roach. So If I was fishing there I would fish 3 lines the first about 5-6M with GB and loosefed squatt. a 0.3 or 0.4 float 0.06 bottom and a 24 hook single squatt or pinkie on the hook.no.2 elastic for roach. The next line is on the slope on the far side maybe 9-11M 0.2g float 0.07 -22 for the roach/skimmers. with a heavier rig if you are getting a few(0.08-22/20)and I would fish chopped worm and caster right across on no 8 or 10 elastic 0.12-0.10 line and an 18 hook for the bigger perch/skimmers or tench. Bait 1kg of GB- sensas matchblend/roach 1pt white squatts 1/4pt pinkies 1/4pt red mags and at least 1/2pt casters with some worms for chopping. Good luck

Have fished the K&A more around Marlborough and Devizes and on top of what chavey has said, there is a problem in the areas that I fish with crayfish .. a massive problem in fact .. take some meat, any meat based product (cat meat, luncheon meat) and cup it in away from your intended catch areas, the crayfish will home in on that and not your bait.
